This website is meant to be a celebration of beauty and diversity of art in Africa.

Africa is rich in History and Culture. With different ideologies, rituals, traditions, tribes and people, the vast array of unique art styles makes for a fascinating journey of discovery through the ‘Dark Continent’. From Egypt to South Africa, we hope to bring this journey to our readers..

Most importantly, art-of-africa.co.za exists for the artists.

There are so many truly amazing artists in Africa. Unfortunately, most never get the opportunity to showcase their talents. Due to the abject poverty that plagues our continent as well as the lack of easily accessible channels and a clear career path, up and coming artists end up lost in the system.. most don’t even make it to the system.

This website is an accessible channel. ALL artists are welcome to send in their work. As long as it meets the necessary quality control requirements, your art will be featured.
